Sam holds a bachelor's degree from University of Connecticut,School of Business and a Ed.M in International Education Policy from Harvard University.At Harvard, Sam held several student leadership positions including representing Harvard Graduate School of Education on the board of Harvard Graduate Council. Sam has consulted for UNICEF on education reform through innovative policy making in the developing world.
Sam was one of the co-authors of a book on global education along with his mentor and Harvard professor Dr. Reimers. A passionate global educator, In 2013,Sam founded, The Northwood Program,an experiential learning through travel program and in 2018 established Global Study Treks, Inc. a 501 (c) (3) registered non-profit whose mission is to identify, create and advance global citizenship and civic leadership skills education along with meaningful service learning amongst American youth from low-income backgrounds.
Sam currently serves as Area Chair, Schools & Scholarships Committee for Harvard College, Office of Admissions & Financial Aid in Connecticut
